John Quincy Marr

Biography

John Quincy Marr was born in 1825 in Warrenton, where he became an active member of his community. His life was marked by the tumultuous events of the mid-nineteenth century, as the nation moved toward and through civil conflict.

Marr passed away in 1861 at the age of 36, during the opening year of the Civil War. He is remembered as a Warrenton resident who lived through one of the most challenging periods in American history.
