John Sargent

Biography

John Sargent (1813–1883) was a resident of Crich, a village in Derbyshire, England. He lived through a period of significant industrial and social change in the English Midlands during the nineteenth century.

Sargent's life spanned seven decades of the Victorian era, witnessing the transformation of rural England during the Industrial Revolution. He was laid to rest in Crich, where he had spent his life.
