John W. Cary

Biography

John W. Cary, born in 1817, stood among the settlers who helped Milwaukee grow into a thriving center by fostering trust between farmers, merchants, and civic leaders.

Throughout his life he strove to keep the community grounded in generosity and good sense, and he now rests at Forest Home Cemetery alongside so many of the friends he served.
