Biography
Josef Chalupník (1860–1933) was a Czech teacher who dedicated his career to education and the instruction of young people. Active during a formative period in Czech educational development, he contributed to the intellectual formation of his students during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Chalupník's teaching career encompassed the transition from Austro-Hungarian rule to Czechoslovak independence, a period when education played a crucial role in national identity. He is commemorated in the Protestant cemetery in Proseč, where he was buried in 1933.
