Biography

Josef Hlávka (1899–1991) was a Czech individual whose life spanned the entire twentieth century from its beginning through its final decade. He witnessed the formation of Czechoslovakia as an independent nation, the trials of world war and occupation, and the subsequent development of his country through the Cold War era.

Hlávka's remarkable 92-year lifespan concluded in 1991, and he was interred at Vinohrady Cemetery in Prague, where his memory is preserved as part of the enduring legacy of his generation and their contributions to Czech society.
