Biography
Josef Kroupa entered the world in 1894 and came of age as the Austro-Hungarian Empire waned, witnessing the birth of Czechoslovakia and the uncertain years that followed. His adult life was shaped by both the promise of a new republic and the shadow of wartime occupation.
He died in 1944 and is buried at Brno Central Cemetery, his life remembered as part of the generation that stood between eras of history.
