Biography

Josef Michal Esterák, born in 1827, dedicated his priesthood to the parish of Dvakačovice, where he provided pastoral care across the fields and taverns of the region. He guided the congregation through marriages, baptisms, and funerals while also encouraging modest improvements to the village school and other community institutions.

He is remembered as a steady presence whose warm hospitality and patient listening made each family feel seen, and visitors to the Protestant cemetery in Dvakačovice still recall the comfort he offered during trying seasons.
