Josef Mutterer

Biography

Josef Mutterer was a distinguished photographer who documented the visual landscape of 19th-century Vienna. His work as a photographer contributed to the preservation of images from this formative period in Austrian history.

Mutterer's career in photography spanned much of the latter half of the 1800s, a time when the medium was still developing as an art form. He remains remembered as part of Vienna's photographic heritage and was interred at Vienna Central Cemetery.
