Josef Trtil was a resident of the Tuřany community who lived during the twentieth century. His life spanned from the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the mid-twentieth century, encompassing the establishment and development of the modern Czech state.

Trtil's memory is honored in the Cemetery in Tuřany, where he was laid to rest. His life reflects the experiences of those who lived through this transformative period in Czech history.
