Biography
Joseph de La Nézière (1873–1944) trained as a painter and illustrator, earning recognition for his depictions of North African life and landscapes while also serving cultural organizations that connected France with Morocco.
His art sought to build understanding between peoples, and after his death Passy Cemetery became the place where admirers could pay him tribute.
