Biography
Joseph Ferdinand Belmont was a French military officer whose life was marked by service to his nation during its most turbulent period. Born in 1890, he entered military service during a time of great national mobilization and international conflict.
Belmont's career was cut short by the demands of the First World War. He made the ultimate sacrifice in 1915, dying in service to France. His remains were interred at Moosch National Cemetery, where he rests among the many who gave their lives during the Great War.
