Biography
Joseph Goodyear (1797–1839) was a skilled engraver whose technical expertise and artistic sensibility contributed to the visual arts of the early nineteenth century. His engravings demonstrated the precision and craftsmanship characteristic of accomplished practitioners in his field.
Though his life was relatively brief, Goodyear's work reflected the high standards of Victorian-era engraving. He was interred at Highgate Cemetery, a recognition of his contributions to the artistic heritage of his time.
