1816–1885 (age 69)
Biography
Joseph Hubbard Echols (1816-1885) was named for the families that shaped his world, and he in turn became one of the many steady stewards of his locality. With limited personal records surviving, it remains clear only that he lived through decades defined by faith, labor, and the quiet rites of rural life.
He is laid to rest at Lexington Presbyterian Church Cemetery, a place where generations continue to pay respects in gratitude for the foundations he and his contemporaries left behind.
