Joseph Le Brix (1899–1931) caught the imagination of the nation as a pioneering aircraft pilot who pushed aircraft design and endurance to new heights, flying daring routes in the service of France.
His colleagues mourned him after a transatlantic attempt ended in tragedy, yet his courage, meticulous preparation, and the memorial near Baden continue to inspire future aviators.
