Rabbi Joseph Meir Weiss was born in 1838 and became renowned as the founder of the Spinka Hasidic dynasty, guiding his followers with fervor and humility. He taught that joy and devotion could be cultivated even in the face of hardship.

His teachings, both in word and in example, spread from Europe to the Holy Land, and he rests now in the Segula Cemetery, a quiet witness to the enduring strength of his spiritual legacy.
