Joseph O. Neuschwanger

Biography

Joseph O. Neuschwanger, born in 1889, embraced the energy of the early twentieth century while remaining rooted in Eckley and its traditions. He worked to keep pace with changes in industry and agriculture, teaching younger neighbors the value of perseverance while honoring his family's heritage.

Though his life ended in 1918, the warmth he brought to every conversation and his willingness to lend a hand during trying times endure in the memories of those who still visit Eckley Cemetery.
