Biography

Joseph Stalin (1878–1953) was a Georgian-born revolutionary who became the leader of the Soviet Union. He rose to prominence following the Russian Revolution and consolidated power to become one of the most influential—and controversial—figures of the twentieth century. His policies profoundly shaped Soviet society, international relations, and global history.

Stalin died in 1953 and was honored with burial at the Kremlin Wall Necropolis, a place of prominence reserved for Soviet leaders and notable figures. His legacy remains complex and contested, with historians continuing to assess his impact on the Soviet state and the world.
