Biography

Joseph Stephen Cullinan (1860-1937) was a pioneering oil executive whose strategic foresight helped develop the Texas petroleum industry in the early twentieth century through ventures such as the Texas Company (later Texaco).

He remained devoted to his home state and generously supported civic and educational work, leaving a legacy of commitment that is remembered at Glenwood Cemetery.
