Biography

Joseph Wolff Rintel was a prominent member of Berlin's Jewish community in the mid-to-late 18th century. Living from 1750 to 1804, he witnessed the early developments of Jewish emancipation and integration in Prussian society.

His life and legacy are preserved in the records of the Jüdischer Friedhof Berlin-Mitte, where he was buried. Rintel represents the Jewish families who established themselves in Berlin during this period of gradual social transformation.
