Biography
Joshua Dick was born in 1785 and spent his life during a formative period in colonial India. He died in 1825 and was interred in South Park Street Cemetery, one of Calcutta's most historically significant burial grounds.
His forty-year lifespan encompassed significant changes in the British East India Company's operations and the development of Calcutta as a major colonial center.
