Józef Lubomirski (1785–1870) was a Polish nobleman whose life encompassed a turbulent period in European and Polish history. Born during the final years of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, he lived through the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent partitions that reshaped the political landscape of Eastern Europe.
His eighty-five years of life witnessed the struggles of the Polish nation and the broader transformations of European aristocracy. He was honored with burial in Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, reflecting the cosmopolitan nature of European nobility.
