Biography

Józef Placer (1803–1871) was a Polish physician whose medical practice and expertise contributed to the health and welfare of his community. He was active during a formative period in the development of modern medicine in Poland.

Placer's dedication to his medical profession and his service to patients exemplified the commitment of 19th-century Polish physicians. His memory is honored at Rakowicki Cemetery, where he was laid to rest among other distinguished members of Polish society.
