Biography

József Pesky (1795–1862) was a Hungarian painter whose artistic contributions enriched the visual culture of 19th-century Hungary. His work reflected the aesthetic sensibilities and artistic movements of his time, contributing to the development of Hungarian visual arts during a period of cultural flourishing.

Pesky's career as a painter positioned him among the cultural figures who shaped Hungarian artistic traditions. He was laid to rest in the Fiume Road Graveyard, a burial ground that became the final resting place for many of Hungary's intellectual and artistic leaders.
