Biography

József Szabó was a talented Hungarian jazz pianist whose musical innovations helped establish jazz traditions in Hungary. Born in 1925, he was part of the generation that brought modern jazz to Hungarian audiences and musicians.

Szabó's contributions to Hungarian jazz were significant during the mid-twentieth century. He died in 1965 at a relatively young age and was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, remembered for his musical legacy.
