Juan Bertoli Calderoni

Biography

Juan Bertoli Calderoni brought his training as an engineer and architect to Puerto Rico, where he oversaw major public works and helped shape the island’s infrastructure during a period of rapid growth. His designs blended practical skill with an awareness of the tropical climate, earning respect among both officials and neighbors.

He was laid to rest in the Román Baldorioty de Castro National Pantheon, honored for the structures that continued to serve communities well beyond his lifetime.
