Biography
Juana de Vega was a notable Spanish writer born in 1805 whose literary contributions enriched 19th-century Spanish culture. As a woman of letters during an era when female authorship was gaining ground, she played an important role in expanding the voices represented in Spanish literature.
De Vega's writing career spanned much of the 19th century, and she maintained her intellectual engagement with literary pursuits throughout her life until her death in 1872. She was buried in the Cemetery of San Amaro, a resting place that honors her memory and literary legacy.
