Biography

Juhan Leinberg, born 1812 and known to many as Maltsvet, inspired hope in rural Estonia through his spiritual convictions and charismatic leadership.

Though his movement met resistance, he remained devoted to the promise of renewal and comforted followers until his death in 1885; his grave at Reopalu Cemetery is a place of quiet reflection.
