Juliana Young Koo

Biography

Juliana Young Koo was a distinguished American-Chinese diplomat and businesswoman who played a significant role in bridging cultures during the twentieth century. Born in 1905, she served in diplomatic capacities and was active in business affairs, representing the interests of both the American and Chinese communities throughout her long and accomplished life.

Koo was recognized for her contributions to international relations and her work as a businesswoman in an era when such roles were rarely held by women. She lived to the age of 112, witnessing and participating in major historical transformations across the Pacific.
