Biography

Kafū Nagai was one of the most celebrated writers of modern Japan, renowned for his distinctive literary style and keen observations of urban life and human nature. His novels and essays profoundly influenced Japanese literature and continue to be studied and appreciated by readers worldwide.

Nagai's prolific career spanned decades, during which he established himself as a master of narrative prose and social commentary. He was interred at Zōshigaya Cemetery, a final resting place befitting his stature as one of Japan's greatest literary figures.
