Karel Hovůrka was born in 1914 and chose a life of service, answering the call to the Czechoslovak military as his nation sought to defend its freedom and stand with its neighbors.

He gave his strength to the cause until his death in 1941, and his memory is kept alive at the Cemetery in Přerov where he rests among fellow patriots.
