Karel Keprt

Biography

Karel Keprt (1869–1952) lived a long life spanning more than eight decades, witnessing the profound transformations of Central Europe from the late nineteenth century through the mid-twentieth century. His years encompassed the decline of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, two world wars, and the establishment of communist rule.

Keprt's extended lifetime provided perspective on generations of change in his region. He was laid to rest in the Cemetery in Budišov, where his memory endures as part of his community's history.
