Biography

Karel Kraus (1889–1958) lived through the transformative decades of twentieth-century Central Europe, from the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the establishment and development of Czechoslovakia and into the Cold War era. His long life provided witness to profound historical changes.

Kraus's existence reflected the resilience and adaptability required of those who lived through such turbulent times. He was buried in the Cemetery in Doubrava, where his memory remains part of his community's historical record.
