Biography

Karel Kuffner (1858–1940) taught generations of students with a calm authority that valued curiosity and perseverance. He believed the classroom should be a place of open inquiry, where every pupil could discover a love of learning and a sound moral compass.

Colleagues recall him as a steady presence in turbulent times, someone whose influence extended beyond textbooks into the lives he shaped, and his legacy is honored at Olšany Cemetery.
