Biography

Karel Teige (1900–1951) was a prominent Czech photographer and visual artist who played a significant role in the modernist movement in Czechoslovakia. His innovative approach to photography and design helped shape the visual culture of early 20th-century Prague, contributing to both artistic and cultural developments during the interwar period.

Teige's work extended beyond photography into graphic design and theoretical writings on modern art. He was laid to rest in Vyšehrad cemetery, a place of honor for many prominent Czech cultural figures.
