Biography

Károly Kiss (1793–1866) was a notable Hungarian poet whose literary works contributed to the rich poetic tradition of his nation. Active throughout the nineteenth century, he participated in the cultural renaissance of Hungary, crafting verses that reflected the spirit and sensibilities of his era.

Kiss's career as a poet spanned more than six decades, during which he earned recognition for his contributions to Hungarian literature. He lived to the age of 73 and was interred at the Fiume Road Graveyard, where his memory is preserved alongside other distinguished figures of Hungarian cultural life.
