Károly Zilahy

Biography

Károly Zilahy (1838–1864) was a Hungarian poet whose literary talents contributed to the poetic heritage of his nation. Active during the mid-nineteenth century, he engaged with the intellectual and artistic movements of his era, creating works that reflected the sensibilities of his time.

Zilahy's career as a poet, though cut short by his death at age 26, left an imprint on Hungarian letters. He was interred at the Fiume Road Graveyard, where he rests among other notable contributors to Hungarian cultural and literary life, his memory preserved for future generations.
