Biography
Katherine Siva Saubel spent her long life in Riverside County gathering the knowledge of the Cahuilla people, becoming a scholar who preserved her tribe's language, stories, and ceremonial knowledge for future generations.
She translated that knowledge into books, lectures, and partnerships with universities, patiently building bridges between Indigenous communities and academic audiences, all while nurturing cultural pride across Southern California.
