Kazimiera Ziemięcka (1820–1873) lived during a pivotal era in Polish history, witnessing the transformations of the nineteenth century. Her life reflected the experiences of Polish women of her social standing during this period of national and cultural change.

Ziemięcka was remembered by her burial at Powązki Cemetery, Warsaw's most distinguished resting place, where she was laid to rest among other notable figures of her generation.
