Biography
Hegumen Khariton was a Russian Orthodox religious leader who served as the head of the New Valamo monastery. He dedicated much of his life to spiritual leadership and monastic traditions during a transformative period for the Orthodox Church in Finland.
His tenure at New Valamo spanned decades of significant change, during which he worked to maintain the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Orthodox community. Hegumen Khariton's leadership contributed to the preservation of monastic life and traditions in the region.
