Kō Sūkoku

Biography

Kō Sūkoku (1730–1804) was a respected Japanese painter of the Edo period, recognized for his artistic skill and cultural contributions. He worked during a flourishing era of Japanese aesthetics and maintained high standards of craftsmanship.

Sūkoku's paintings reflected the refined tastes of his patrons and the sophisticated artistic traditions of his time. He was interred at Saifuku-ji Temple, honored for his dedication to the painter's art.
