Kobori Tomoto

Biography

Kobori Tomoto was a distinguished painter of the Meiji period, born in 1864. He contributed to Japanese artistic traditions during a time when the nation was integrating Western artistic techniques with classical Japanese aesthetics.

Throughout his career, Tomoto developed his artistic vision and left a legacy in the Japanese art world. He passed away in 1931 and was buried at Tama Cemetery, where he rests among other notable figures of his era.
