Biography

Komatsu Kiyokado (1835–1870) was a samurai who served during the transformative years of the Bakumatsu period and early Meiji Restoration. His life exemplified the samurai spirit during an era when the traditional warrior class faced unprecedented challenges and the nation underwent radical institutional and social reform.
