Biography

Konstantin Stepanovič Veselovskij (1819–1901) was a Russian economist whose career spanned much of the 19th century. He contributed to economic thought and policy during a period when Russia was grappling with modernization and development of its financial systems.

Veselovskij's work in economics reflected the intellectual currents of his era, and his long life allowed him to witness the transformation of Russian economic institutions. He was honored with burial in Novodevichy Cemetery, recognizing his contributions to Russian society.
