Biography
Alexander Borisovich Kurakin was a prominent Russian politician who played a significant role in the political landscape of late Imperial Russia. His career spanned the tumultuous period of Russian history from the late 19th century through the Russian Revolution and its aftermath.
Following the upheaval of the Russian Revolution, Kurakin spent his final years in exile in Nice, where he remained active in émigré circles. He passed away in 1941, having witnessed the dramatic transformation of his homeland from abroad. He was laid to rest in the Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Nice, a final resting place for many Russian émigrés.
