Biography
Ladislav Trakal (1873–1951) painted with a careful eye for light, bringing landscapes and still lifes to life with colors that captured Prague's moods. He offered his workshops to young artists, sharing technique and encouraging them to seek their own visions.
Visitors to Olšany Cemetery still pause to recall the gentleness with which he described the city, hoping to see the world as he once did.
