Lady Barbara Coventry

1870–1946 (age 76)

Biography

Born in 1870, Lady Barbara Coventry carried the quiet dignity expected of her station while opening her home and heart to the families of Earl's Croome, making herself a steady supporter of worship at the Church of St Nicholas and the relief efforts it nurtured for the less fortunate.

Through wars and peace she remained a reassuring presence, lending her time to education and the upkeep of the parish's charitable work so that those who entered the church felt welcomed and soothed. When she died in 1946 the community marked her passing with a memorial at St Nicholas in gratitude for a life given generously to others.
