Biography
Lady Ulrica Duncombe, a member of the family that shepherded Helmsley and nearby estates, used her position to advance education, to support hospital wards, and to host gatherings that fostered fellowship among local families.
She will be remembered for gracious hospitality, for sustaining regional charities through the difficult years between wars, and for resting peacefully in St Peter Churchyard.
