Biography
Lajos Bartók was a Hungarian poet whose literary works contributed to the vibrant poetic tradition of 19th-century Hungary. Born in 1851, he pursued his artistic calling during a period of cultural flourishing and national consciousness in Hungarian letters.
Bartók's poetry reflected the sensibilities and concerns of his generation. He died in 1902 and was laid to rest at the Fiume Road Graveyard, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures of Hungarian cultural life.
