Biography
Larry Corcoran became a celebrated figure in early professional baseball, rising from the streets of Chicago to master the art of pitching for the Chicago White Stockings. His work on the mound, including pioneering the use of the curveball, helped inspire generations of ballplayers and contributed to the sport's growing popularity in the 1880s.
