László Dobossy

Biography

László Dobossy (1910–1999) was a skilled Hungarian translator whose work facilitated cultural exchange and understanding between Hungarian and other literary traditions. His translations made significant works accessible to Hungarian audiences.

Dobossy's long career spanned much of the twentieth century, during which he contributed substantially to Hungarian cultural life. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, a fitting tribute to his contributions to literature and translation.
